Brew Guide
How to Brew
Havana was built for espresso. The barrel-aged toffee and rum-spice notes hit hardest under pressure. that's where the crema carries the flavor. Drip works, but espresso is the move.

The Pack Speaks
Honest Reviews
I've been a barrel-aged whiskey guy for years and was skeptical that the same magic could translate to coffee. It does. Pulled this as a double shot and the rum-toffee aroma hit before the cup even reached my lips. Caramel and warm spice through the whole sip. Different in the best way.
Pulled 18g into 36g, steamed oat milk to silk. The barrel notes hold up perfectly against the milk. you can still taste the caramel and oak underneath. I've been making myself one every morning. My wife is jealous I don't share.
First USDA Organic barrel-aged coffee I've ever seen. Tried it as recommended. straight espresso. The crema is thick and dark, the aroma is straight Caribbean rum cake. No additives, no fake flavor. Just real wood, real time. The pack is on to something.

So we did it the real way: USDA Organic Cuba Mia espresso beans soaked in actual Havana Club rum barrels, then small-batch roasted. No additives. No shortcuts. The world's first USDA Organic barrel-aged coffee. This is what real barrel aging tastes like."
Questions
The FAQ
Is this actually barrel-aged?
Yes. Real Havana Club rum barrels. not flavorings, not extracts, not "natural flavor." Whole green Cuba Mia espresso beans go into authentic rum-soaked oak barrels and rest there until the wood gives up its caramel, oak, and warm spice naturally. Then they're roasted. This is the world's first USDA Certified Organic barrel-aged coffee.
Does it actually taste like rum?
It tastes like the *flavor* of rum without the alcohol. The caramel sweetness and warm spice transfer beautifully through the wood, but the alcohol burns off in roasting. So you get the toffee, the caramel, the oak, and the warm Caribbean spice. without any actual alcohol content. It's coffee. It's just coffee that spent serious time in a rum barrel.
Is there any actual alcohol in this?
No. Any residual alcohol from the barrel aging is fully evaporated during the roasting process. Havana is a non-alcoholic coffee. the rum-barrel notes come from the wood, not active alcohol content.
Should I brew this as drip or espresso?
Espresso. Always. The barrel-aged toffee and warm spice notes hit hardest under pressure. that's where the crema carries the rum-coffee flavor straight to your nose before it hits your tongue. Moka pot is a strong second option. Drip and French press both work fine, but espresso is what this coffee was built for.
Is it actually USDA Organic?
USDA Certified Organic. every step of the way. The Cuba Mia base bean is certified organic, the barrel-aging process meets the standards, and the final product is certified. We're not just calling ourselves "organic", we're verified. No pesticides, no synthetic fertilizers, no BS.
How fresh is it when it arrives?
Here's the actual workflow: small batches roasted at our USDA Organic-certified partner facility, then sealed in oxygen-barrier bulk bags straight off the drum. Those bulk bags ship to our packhouse and stay sealed until orders come in. The day your order ships, we open the bulk seal, weigh, grind (if you chose ground), hand-fill into a foil-lined pouch with a one-way degassing valve, and seal it closed. Your bag was filled the day it shipped, never pre-bagged, never sitting on a shelf. You'll notice the bloom when you brew. Fresh coffee blooms. Stale coffee doesn't.
