Roast Profile

Medium-Dark Roast

Roasted to bring out the honey notes. Dark enough for full body, controlled enough to keep the floral sweetness intact.

LightMediumMedium-Dark ●Dark
Medium-Dark. The roast curve is pulled past first crack into the early oils, then stopped before second runs long. Far enough to develop the caramelized sugars that pair with the Manuka honey glaze. Restrained enough to keep floral and sweet on the palate instead of charring them off.

Brew Time
1.Use 1g of coffee per 16g water. For a single cup, 22g coffee and 350g water lands you a 12oz pour.
2.Water just off boil. 200°F. Bloom with 2× the coffee weight first, wait 30–45 seconds. The honey-glazed bean blooms hard.
3.Pour through a paper filter. Total contact time 4–5 minutes. The floral notes show up brightest in pour-over.
4.Drink it black first. The honey carries enough sweetness on its own. try one cup before reaching for sugar.

2.Steep 4 minutes total. Set a timer. The longer steep deepens the body and pulls the honey through.
3.Plunge slowly. 20–30 seconds. Decant immediately to stop extraction.
4.French press is where the caramel and toasted-almond notes show up clearest.

"Coffee is the first thing most of us put in our bodies every morning. I wanted to know what was actually in mine, and what I learned about mass-market coffee was rough. Pesticides, mold, contaminants, mystery sourcing. So we built the opposite. USDA Organic, traceable to the farm, small-batch roasted. No shortcuts. No additives. No BS."

Questions

The FAQ

What is Manuka honey?

Raw honey from New Zealand's native Manuka blossom. a tea-tree shrub that grows wild across the New Zealand coast. The honey is unusually thick, golden-amber, and has been valued for generations for its unique natural properties. Each batch in Manuka coffee is sourced from native New Zealand Manuka blossoms.

Is there actual honey in this coffee?

Yes. Raw New Zealand Manuka honey is a real ingredient. listed second in the bag's ingredients panel, right after the Arabica coffee. The honey is glazed onto the bean during roasting. It's not a flavor spray.

What are cane alcohol and glycerin doing in the ingredients?

Both are organic carriers that let the Manuka honey actually bind to the bean during the glazing process. Cane alcohol evaporates during roasting (similar to how it works in vanilla extract). Glycerin is a natural humectant that keeps the honey distributed evenly across the beans. Both are organic. No artificial flavoring.

How does Manuka compare to Ascend?

Different jobs. Ascend is the unflavored daily driver. three-origin organic blend, balanced for any brew method. Manuka is sweet, floral, rich. Arabica beans finished with raw Manuka honey for a layered, indulgent cup. Pick Ascend when you want straight black coffee. Pick Manuka when the cup is the dessert.

Whole bean or pre-ground. which should I get?

Whole bean if you have a grinder. grinding fresh always wins, and Manuka's honey glaze blooms harder when the grind is fresh. If not, pre-ground works fine. ground medium for drip, French press, and most pour-over methods. Pre-ground is the right call for a daily auto-drip setup.

Will Manuka taste sweet without adding sugar?

Yes. The honey glazing brings real sweetness to the cup. most pack members don't add sugar. Try the first cup black so the floral notes can carry through. Cream works if that's your default. Skip the syrups, the Manuka already does the job.
