Can I drink it when I'm already sick?
Yes, and elderberry in particular is studied for reducing duration when taken at first sign. Brew double-strength, drink 2–3 cups a day, add honey. The "At First Sign" brew guide in the method section is specifically for this.
Is it caffeine free?
Yes. completely caffeine free. You can drink it morning, night, or when you're already run down. No interference with sleep, no jitters.
How often should I drink it?
Daily for prevention. one cup a day keeps the immune system primed. Double up to 2–3 cups when you feel something coming on. Astragalus specifically works best as a consistent daily herb, not an occasional one.
Can kids drink this?
The herbs are generally recognized as safe, but echinacea is typically not recommended for children under 2, and we'd suggest checking with your pediatrician for any child under 12 before starting a daily herb routine.
Can I take it with my supplements?
Generally yes. If you're on immunosuppressants, blood thinners, or diabetes medication, check with your doctor first. astragalus, turmeric, and elderberry all have real physiological effects that can interact.
